AMALFI

reliving Amalfi...

The incredible view from La Vela B&B, Fuvore. If you ever visit Amalfi, it would be criminal to stay anywhere else

The Amalfi Coast was by far my favourite place on my 1 month stint in Italy last summer. I quite literally felt I was in a never ending dream the whole week we spent there. The pummelling, dramatic coastline, secret coves and meandering walks through the various villages made this place almost impossible to leave.

We stayed in Fuvore, a little village up from Amalfi as the prices were a little better, and it was the best decision we made. La Vella B&B made our trip, it is by far the most accommodating, beautiful little place you will find in the country. We payed 30euros a night (which is reasonable in amalfi) and got a private room with delicious breakfast included. It's a family run place and they treat you like one of their own- we missed the spasmodic coastal bus a few times and they refused to do anything but drive us the half hour commute to the amalfi village and surrounding areas. If that isn't good hospitality, I don't know what it.
