Frida

so it's been disgustingly long since i've posted. crazy busy settling back into UK life, interning in London and finishing my final 2nd year term at University.

I wanted to share one of the final projects I was involved with at FIT in New York before i came home (cry). It was a huge group task- our own interpretation of visualising fashion. We chose to document it in the form of a fashion short, inspired by the Mexican fashion/artist muse Frida Kahlo (if you haven't heard of her, google NOW.)

I was the stylist of the video- involving going out and scouting outfits and jewellery, yes, from THE best of the US department stores. Expensive shit. In order to create the modern Frida.

Shot at Brooklyn bridge, I give you,

'The Exodus of Dreams'

Here are some behind the scene shots on the bridge and touching up on set. oh yeh, we made her stand there in silk trousers and jacket and a jewel breast plate in NY's winter.
commitment.

We also had an event for screening of the film and to exhibit some of the key looks from the shoot, take a look HERE. It was such a great evening, and I felt so proud to be part of such an amazing team.
