NOBU

last weekend we took a mini trip to Milano. and it started off with a bang in my favourite Japanese restaurant, Nobu. It's known for its innovative cuisine and interior as well as its regular celebrity crowd.
Nobu Milan is found in the Armani building, meaning it combines that classic Armani style with Japenese aesthetic.

We found ourselves gawping at the menus for what seemed like half an hour, until we decided that we needed some expertise advice. The waiter simply whisked the menus away and assured us that he would bring us 'a selection of a few of the best dishes off the menu' to get a true Nobu experience.
4 hours and 15 dishes later we realised that we had greatly misunderstood his use of 'selection'...

We started off with a few (meaning 6) plates of yummy sashimi and sushi.

The Tempura Prawns were a definite favourite...

and then we got down to the real business...

Finally the waiter bought out 3 of the signature Black Cod in Miso. and just wow.

the Japanese know how to cook. period

There are far too many pictures that will continue to make you mouth water, and I'm not that cruel, so check out the rest of the Nobu restaurants and get booking a reservation if there's one near you!

Trust me, it will not disappoint.

Pimped up

I'm heading on a Western coast road trip this summer with my dad and brother, San Francisco to LA... might have to suggest this for our ride...I might get lucky?

Dream on? I think so. This 180 sq ft. 1969 Airstream is the ultimate travelling machine. Interior designer Rachel Horn has re-invented the inside to a luxurious Moroccan theme, with lavish textiles, air-conditioning and even a cappuccino machine.

Check out more of her interior work Here- Old World style with Modern luxury

Who knows, maybe I will nab a ride off her whilst we slum it out hitchhiking. Fingers crossed.
